King County Washington (Page 5) has 50 places on the National Register of Historic Places including 6 places of National significance and 10 places of Statewide significance. Significant places include Olympic Hotel, Panama Hotel, Pioneer Building, Pergola, and Totem Pole, Pioneer Square--Skid Road Historic District (Boundary Increase) and RELIEF (lightship).

Many famous people are associated with these King County historic places including Louis Olson, Matthew Walsh, Alson Brown, Alfred L. Palmer, James T. Ronald and William H. Parsons.

Some of the country's most noteable architects helped create the King County places including James Wehn, Bebb & Gould, US Lighthouse Establishment, New York Ship Co., Post,George B., & Sons, Joseph Cote, Elmer Fisher, Wood,J.R., & Co., Lance, McGuire & Muri, et al. and U.S. Lighthouse Board.
