Iowa - Fayette County
Fayette County Iowa has 30 places on the National Register of Historic Places including 12 places of Statewide significance. Significant places include College Hall, Eldorado Bridge, Grimes Octagon Barn, Mill Race Bridge and Montauk.

Several famous people are associated with these Fayette County historic places including William Larrabee, Joseph Hobson and Gov. William Larrrabee.

Some of the country's most noteable architects helped create the Fayette County places including Iowa State Highway Commission, N.M. & Co. Stark, Horace E. Horton, Chicago Bridge and Iron Co., Joe Butler, Fred Boedeker, August Nus, Cambria Steel Co., J.G. Ratcliffe and Henry and August Holser.
